JULY 21

The provisional release date for Bone in the US is September 21 through Koch Records with a catalogue number KOC-CD-9626.  This release date is still subject to change.

JULY 20

The tour came to a triumphant end last night at Brighton's Concorde 2.   The set Slow Laid, Eh Mamma, Into Darkness, Bone, Five-O, Dance Of The Bad Angel, Love Hard, Sometimes, Down To The Sea, Wave Hello, Butterfly's Dream, Monkey God, Fall In Love, What Goes On with Lisa performing a solo song after Sometimes.   The set for Sunday's Waterfront show was the same with the exception of Lisa's song.

Tim has signed a US distribution deal for Bone with Koch.   It is hoped that the album will come out in September.  There are no plans at present for Tim to tour the US.

Wave Hello is still scheduled for release on August 2.  According to Sanctuary, the single will only be released on CD format and will include an exclusive track Si Tu Veux.

We will be running a campaign to get as much radio play as possible in the run-up to the single release.  Full details will be posted here and in the special section in the forum in the next few days.

We also hope to have a link up very soon for pre-orders.  First-week sales from chart counting stores are important to get the single as high a chart placing as possible.

JULY 18

Tim and the band played a mid-afternoon set at yesterday's Guildford Festival - Laid, Bone, Dance Of The Bad Angel, Eh Mamma, What Goes On, Sometimes, Down To The Sea, Wave Hello, Butterfly's Dream and Monkey God.

JULY 17

Tim and the band played to their biggest club audience on the tour so far last night at Birmingham's Academy 2.  The set featured Laid, Discover, Bone, Five-O, Dance Of The Bad Angel, Love Hard, Eh Mamma, Sometimes, Down To The Sea, Wave Hello, Butterfly's Dream, Monkey God and What Goes On.

We are now starting a radio campaign to get as much airplay for the Wave Hello single.  Details are in the forum.  We will kick this off fully from Tuesday once the tour is finished.

Look out also for a new competition to win one of three seven inch singles of Down To The Sea signed by the whole band.

Thanks to everyone who's signed up for the mailing list at the gigs.  For those who haven't been at the gigs we'll post details of how to join here next week.

JULY 15

Back from the first half of the tour and we've got a well-deserved day off tomorrow.  A massive thank you from the band and the crew to all those who've come along and got into the spirit and energy of the shows and made them the special events they were.  Setlists have been posted for most shows in the Gigs section.

Tickets are still available for all the remaining dates.  Tim and the band are playing Birmingham Academy 2 on Friday 16, Guildford Festival on Saturday 17, Norwich Waterfront on Sunday 18 before finishing the tour with a hometown gig at Brighton's Concorde 2 club on Monday 19th.

Support is an acoustic set  from Lee "Muddy" Baker - if you get there early, please show him the respect and attention he deserves.

There are now two shirts available on the tour, both feature the Monkey God logo.  Both are black shirts, the first has a white logo with the band name on the sleeve, the second a red logo with the band name on the back.  Sizes range from M to XL.   Please also visit the merchandise stall and sign up for the mailing list - if you're not attending the shows and want to join, we'll be posting details soon.

There will be a track from Saturday's Move Festival performance broadcast on either Friday evening or Saturday evening after midnight.  Down To The Sea is the track due to be aired.   We will try and confirm which show we will be featured on.

The Bristol set on Monday was preceded by a James and Tim fan performing classic James tracks Out To Get You and Say Something using sign language and the highlight of the set was Tim walking the full length of the bar during Butterfly's Dream to sing to a heckler.  Lisa sang one of her own compositions during Tuesday's Oxford Zodiac gig.

Last night's show at St James Church in London was extraordinary, the band played basked in candlelight to a seated audience for the first half before some of the crowd got up to dance to the faster tracks at the end of the set.   Acoustic versions of Laid and Careful What You Say made their first appearances in the set on the tour so far.

For those not familiar with the track, the cover version Tim and the band are playing is the Velvet Underground's What Goes On from their self-titled album.  Be warned the original is very different.

Wave Hello is scheduled for release on August 2.  We will have b-side details very soon but Tim told us there will be some interesting new songs on the formats.

To coincide with the release, there is provisionally a Mark Radcliffe acoustic session on BBC Radio 2 pencilled in for Wednesday August 4.  More details of this will be posted as we have them.

Coming soon, we hope to have some pictures from the tour, Milo's diary, all the setlists, the final part of Tim's interview, an interview with Lee and another competition to win signed material.  And some sleep.   We'd also like to hear your views on the tour and if you've got some great pictures please share them with us.
