I'm very, very excited at the return of Tom Vek! He'd dropped out of the music business for a while to pursue a career in graphic design the cheeky chap.
His first and only album We Have Sound is one of my all time favourite albums....
New album and tour in June.

New single and video for 'A Chore'

The bass playing thoughout the songs makes me feel kind if funny!!

I've never been able to rollerblade, this video kind of makes up for it, and again THAT bass playing, oooh!!!!

Off to see The Martin Harley Band next friday in Exeter and Chris TT on the 24th May at a venue that Chris describes as "somewhere in the southwest of england". I can't seen to find that location on google maps! If I don't get to a gig ( even a local one) once a month, I shrivel up and die. I can survive without oxygen as the I think the soul lives after the body, but music is the oxygen of the soul and without we are bleedin sunk mate. I'm a spirit having human experience. Its not easy is it?

and I'm seeing British Sea Power ( they played Beautiful Days last year, where I saw James) and We are Scientists as well. Exeter has a jumping live music scene. Its not all tractors, morris dancing, accordians and the f***in Wurzals you know.

Saw Sufjan Stevens in Newcastle on Monday. Was more of a performance-art show than a gig. Very unusual but enjoyable ( I think ).

Saw Mercury Rev in The Queens Hall in Edinburgh last night. They are in my top 3 favourite live bands. 1 = James/Tim Booth, 2 = REM
They played Deserters Songs from start to finish - wonderful :D
The venue ran out of lager & almost out of beer
Bit of a hangover today :(
